Jennifer Fish is a long-time resident of Lexington and actually attended Lansdowne Elementary as a student. She is a graduate of Tates Creek High School and the University of Kentucky. She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a master's degree in Education with certification as a reading specialist, and a master's in Educational Leadership. In addition, she has attended the Leadership Institute for School Principals at the Center for Creative Leadership in North Carolina, which was sponsored by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
She has worked at Lansdowne Elementary since 1991, teaching mostly first and fourth grade. She also served as the school's administrative dean for three years before becoming principal in 2013. She is a long-time member of the Fayette County Education Association and served on the board from 1993-98.
Ms. Fish has two daughters. She enjoys entertaining, crafting, and designing homemade cards.
