Family engagement

Lansdowne offers a variety of opportunities for families to participate in their child's learning. Anyone interested in helping must first register as a volunteer with FCPS and clear a criminal background check. You can also explore districtwide opportunities through Give 10.   

Attendance

Consistent attendance in school is essential for good performance and high achievement. Please see pages 32-34 of the Student Code of Conduct for district policies on tardies, early dismissals, and absences.

Visitors

Please buzz at the front door, and sign in and out each time you enter and leave the building. All visitors will be required to provide a valid idea to be scanned in the Raptor security system. The Raptor will print a badge which must be worn while visiting. 

Pick-up

At dismissal time, please wait outside the building. We must have a written note if there is a change in your child's transportation. During the school day, you must come to the office to sign out your child.
